Improve Your Life: taking one step at a time.

One Step at a Time
Do you want to improve your life, but instead of taking one step at a time, you want it to all happen immediately? Don’t feel bad, most of us do. We want things when we want them. We are used to instant gratification.
I launched a new website today and I wanted it to happen now. I could have had a designer do it and it probably would have been done faster, but he or she would have had to take the same steps I did.
As I worked on it, I thought about how we want things in an instant instead of working for them. The problem with that is that we get nothing out of it if it does happen instantly or someone does it for us.
I had problems with a site about a year ago and it took me forever to get it up and running again. Today, it took me a few hours, but that was it. I had learned from the last time.
Here is the time tested way to do anything you want to do, and I do mean anything.
• Know what you want to do. Have a clear goal in mind.
• Plan out the steps that you will have to take.
• Take the first step and when it is done, take the next one
• Go back to step one and start over until the goal is reached.
Nothing to it, right? There really isn’t but we like to think that there is. Everyone I know who has become successful has done it this way. Sure there might be those who had things given to them, but without following these steps, they soon lost what they had.
P.S. Watch for my report on productivity coming out soon!
