What Do You Do With Negative Energy?

We all have had the experience of being confronted with negative energy. Someone says something to us and we take offense to it, making us angry. Someone does something and it starts that downward spiral. Here are some simple steps to help you deal with negative energy.

How is this affecting me?

First, you need to understand that negative energy is not good for you. It causes all sorts of reactions in your body and mind.

You body starts to secrete hormones and enzymes to help deal with the situation. Stomach acids increase to help with quick digestion of food to give you energy, but you don’t really need this so the stomach starts digesting itself, causing ulcers.

Adrenaline is pushed into the blood stream to help with fight or flight, but you don’t really need that either and so you feel nervous and shaky.

You mind starts to work overtime to help decode the information given, but it is often given the wrong information and so you are given the wrong answers.

Negative energy can cause disease and premature death. It is said that over ninety percent of disease is caused by stress. That’s negative energy!

What do I do with this?

Next, you need to understand that you have control over what you do with the negative energy handed to you. Many seem to think that they have no control and that they have to deal with things just as they are handed to them. This is not true!

We have control of our minds and thought; or at least we should. We do not have to accept what is given to us. We can choose to respond to negative energy in a negative way and watch things fall into the pits, or we can refuse to accept the negative energy and let go of it allowing it to dissipate. The choice is yours!

How do I react to this?

Now, you have the choice how you want to react to what has happened. You can react negatively, or positively. Remember that negative and positive thinking is not some magical way of dealing with life; they are simply ways of thinking. Thinking negatively, means you are thinking about all the bad in the situation and how it might possibly spin out of control and ruin your life, or at least this part of it. Thinking positively is thinking in such a way that the situation can be turned to your advantage. What can you do or say that will turn the situation so that you win or benefit.

When you are dealing with a negative situation and your energy is heading for the pits, you can choose to think negatively and watch things deteriorate, or you can stop the spiral, control your thoughts and see how things can be turned around.

You have control over the health of every situation in your life. You can choose. How you think and react to negative energy, whether something handed to you or something from inside you is up to you. You decide how you want to live.
