    Hi Steve,

The cause of all suffering is judgement. If something happens, it happens. When we judge in and label it “bad” we automatically generate negative emotions. We starting thinking that we’re good, why did something bad happen. Judgement, suffering, misery.

Some of the “worst” things to occur in my life were the best things to happen to me. If I had reserved harsh judgement I would have seen that the instance was a vehicle for my advancement.

The universe does not label. It does not punish. It responds to our predominant vibration. We aren’t even aware of many of the deeper thoughts and feelings we put out (deep meditation and introspection reveals these) so why would we ever dream of judging ourselves and our lives? It’s silly, if you reall think about it.

So we cause things to happen and the universe responds. Don’t waste time analyzing or judging. Accept, move on, and realize that it’s happened for you to grow from.

    Great insight.

Ryan, I agree that most things are bad because we label them as such. I will say that it is hard to remember that having a trash truck smash into your car is not a bad thing at the time! The faster we can move to think positively about situations the faster we are able to leave the “bad” label behind!

Well if that’s all it takes, i have done those three steps, i pray, im grateful for all i have, i believe in love and compassion, i help people less fortunate than myself, i believe in God, but still excuse me, shit happens and i just cannot understand WHY??? so at this stage i have given up as in the past when things have gone wrong, i always thought what do i need to learn from this, i took actions to sort it out i had faith, been there done that but nothing, so there is nothing more than to give up and let each day comes as it will, my thoughts now turn to, if your lucky enough for things to wor out for you all well and good if your not lucky enough TUFF!!

You are so right, Rose. Shit does happen! We do not control life. What we control is our actions in it and reaction to it. I don’t think luck has much to do with it. Giving up just means that you default your life to someone else. You say that nothing happened when you looked for what you could learn, too action, had faith and so on. Really? I think you learned things, learned how to do them differently or how to avoid them. I think you learned how to take action and do what needed to be done. Having a defeatist attitude just gets you defeated!

I know it can seem more than you can take at times. I’ve been there too! We all have. Letting life kick you ass isn’t the answer. Kicking back is.

Really Very Nice article. But I do have 1 doubt, if bad things happen to good people then whats the difference between good and bad people and on their karmas?

You must remember that Karma is to teach, not to punish! Even evil people receive karma, not as punishment, but to enlighten them.
