Shit does happen! We do not control life. What we control is our actions in it and reaction to it. I don't think luck has much to do with it. Giving up just means that you default your life to someone else. You say that nothing happened when you looked for what you could learn, too action, had faith and so on. Really? I think you learned things, learned how to do them differently or how to avoid them. I think you learned how to take action and do what needed to be done. I will say that it is hard to remember that having a trash truck smash into your car is not a bad thing at the time!
