Motivational Life Slaps!
A while back I posted a blog about people being unemployed and how that makes the person feel. Life has a tendency to slap us down now and then.
Most everyone says that they want a better life, or more success, more money. Those things are fine, but then life comes along and slaps us down and we get all depressed and think that nothing will ever be right again.
Let’s say that you don’t have a lot of money and the car breaks down. Now you have bills to pay and you can’t afford to do both. Your mind starts going crazy with all sorts of scenarios. You won’t be able to pay the bills, your credit rating takes a dive, your house gets repossessed and your mate leaves you! The car will still be broke and you’ll have to walk to work fifteen miles uphill both ways and in the snow! Man! What a loser!!
One of my Principles is that hardships happen, but I always have a choice. You can see all the Principles on the Principles page. Anyway, so the car died, I have a choice, I can listen to all those terrible things that my mind is trying to tell me or I can start looking for the opportunities. I can think positive, look to see how this might turn out. Maybe there’s a bill that has a grace period, maybe I can talk to my boss at work and see if there is some overtime I might pick up. Maybe I can talk to my mechanic and see if I can make installments.
If none of this works out, you still have a choice. You can change how you think about it. You might learn from what has happened and vow to start an emergency savings fund or learn how to fix your car yourself. Maybe you can think about ways to increase your income!
None of those terrible things will happen. It might not be fun, but you will get through it! You will live.
You want to make more money, you want to be more successful, have a better life? You have to start changing your thinking. There’s that thing called the law of attraction. It says that if you think everything is going to be awful, you’re right it will. If you think things will work out they will.
When life gives you a big slap next time, don’t get down. Look to see what opportunities are there. Look to see what you can learn. Your life will begin to change as soon as you do!
