Thorns to Blossoms: motivation toward a better life
Last night, one of our neighbors had a fire in their house. They were all safe, but their house sustained a fair amount of damage. The woman is a single mom, with two teen aged daughters. I wonder how she is today!
Often life throws us situations that are hard to take. Like this woman, we are handed something that can either make us or break us. The question is, which will it be?
When life kicks you in the teeth, what is your usual response? Do you feel as if no one else has the troubles you do? Do you feel like your world has come to an end? Is the situation looked on as an opportunity to grow and to make things different?
I heard a story once where someone lost their house to a fire, and I mean burned to the ground! The response to the disaster was that they had planned on remodeling anyway; now they had a start on it! This is the attitude to have if you want a good life! Look at things as opportunities to move forward toward what you want.
Today, find the worst thing in your life, the thing that is a real thorn in your side and find a way to make this thorn a blossom. How can this situation or circumstance be turned around to be the motivation toward something you want? Find the way and you will find a vibrant life!
Here’s to You!
