world; I believe it to be a necessity. If you spend anytime at all reading the newspaper or watching the news on TV, you will be instantly filled with a feeling that the whole world is falling apart. The truth is far from it, but that’s the feeling you are left with.

There has been so much written about having a positive attitude and thinking positively, that it is beginning to get a bad wrap. I ran across an article today and thought I would share it with you. It is called “The Five Myths of Positive Metal Attitude.” I like the writers slant of giving you five myths about what positive thinking is not about.

Norman Vincent Peale was one of the people that made the concept of being positive popular. If you only believed half of what he said, and I believe it is all true, it would make a good strong case for being positive.

Without a positive mental attitude it is too easy to just give up when tough times come. If you are serious about changing your life to a better one, then learning to be positive is essential. It will make all the difference in the world as it helps to strengthen your very core.

Life is not easy and creating a new life for yourself can be one of the hardest things you ever do. Still, with the right attitude and your goal firmly imprinted in your mind I have no doubt that you can be successful.

Try looking at it this way. The world tends to be a negative place. Because of this, many people tend to look at things in a negative light. If you have a tendency to be negative at least sometimes, how has that worked out for you?

“I’ll never get this. I won’t be able to pay this. Why does this always happen to me?”

These are all negative questions that we have heard thousands of times, if we haven’t said them ourselves. Why not try putting a positive spin on things.

“I’ll figure this out. I can do this. I just have to learn how to do this. This same thing happens to lots of people, how can I get past this?”

Start to live your life in a positive manner today! Don’t let yourself be negative any longer. Have a positive mental attitude and your world will be much brighter!

P.S. If you don’t have Power of Positive Thinking” on your bookshelf, you should! Although the book is a bit dated, it is an excellent read! I don’t think I know anyone who is a truly positive person that has not read this book.
