Yes Steve! This is the fundamental hurdle to personal development and a very important one at that! I completely agree. We must change our thoughts to change our behaviors. The opposite is also true. Nicely put!

The example I used about the phones was actually me. When I told them what I ws thinking, they immediately took $15 off my bill for the next six months if I would just say I would think about keeping my home phone. There is no contract and no obligation. $15 is $15!

You are absolutely right about little things adding up, and it’s important to remember that *everything* is negotiable. The other day my husband impressed me by getting the trash bill lowered from $65 per quarter to $50 per quarter. Yes, it’s only $60 a year, but so what? It took him 10 minutes on the phone, and he got a bill lowered that I was convinced was non-negotiable.

Yep! Risk is a risky business, but it must be a part of our lives! Without some risk, we never grow!
