Yesterday, I wrote a post about Does God Exist and What That Has To Do With Life Change, what that has to do with creating our lives and becoming who we desire to be. Life change can be hard, but with a connection to the Infinite Source of all things, it can be a whale of a lot easier. Here is a podcast I did to help you understand that we are a part of this Infinite Source.

Not only does the Infinite exist, but we are integrally connected to this Infinite. As we consider what that might mean in our lives, we begin to understand that it is more that we ever imagined.

Meditation has been found to have great effects on the mind and the body. The body becomes more rested and stress is reduced. This helps circulatory problems and nervous system problems. For the mind, meditation helps to both facilitate change and to deepen the effects of life change.

I have developed three meditations that help in that process. These are all guided mindfulness meditations to help you grow. Using these meditations will not only calm the body after a long stressful day, they will help you to find more energy, deepen your spirit and help you find the person you long to be.

First meditation

The first meditation is on increasing the flow. The flow of what, you might ask. We are all a part of the universal energy that I call the Infinite. The flow is that energy which surrounds us and flows through us. This meditation is designed to crank up the power for body mind and spirit.

This guided meditation puts you into the stream of energy and helps you become a part of it.

Second meditation

The second mindfulness meditation is designed to help you become the person you long to be. Often we are not sure what it is we want to be or do. This meditation helps you look at the Infinite possibilities that are yours and choose what you would most like.

Life change can be difficult and when we have no idea what it is we want, it can be even more so. That is what the meditation of Becoming is all about.

Third meditation

Have you ever heard that in order for the law of attraction to work, you must let go of limiting beliefs? The guided meditation on Letting Go is just what you need!

This is also a good mindfulness meditation to help you become aware of and let go of negative emotions such as anger, feelings of insecurity, and depression. We know that negative emotions such as anger create disease within the body as well as the mind.

Stand out from the crowd

Is it alright to be yourself? Is it acceptable to feel free to stand out from the crowd? Not only is it alright, it seems it is mandatory. If you refuse to be yourself, you cheat the world of who and what you are.

What if I don’t know who I am?

In some sense, that could be good, but I don’t think it is true for most people. Most of us have some sort of inclination as to who we are, what we stand for, what makes us unique from the crowd. We know, we are just too unsure of ourselves to stand out from that crowd. It takes courage to do so, but when you find that courage, it can be so freeing.

I said that it might be good to not know who you are. The reason I said that is, if you are truly not sure, then the discovery can be a wonderful journey and there is opportunity to build the you that you desire.

Many people are not satisfied with who they believe themselves to be. They desire to be more like someone else. Now I am not advocating that you be other than you are, what I am saying is that you have the opportunity to build the characteristics that you desire. You can be more assertive, more productive, happier, whatever it is you like.

Why do I want to risk standing out in the crowd?

Why?

Is life not a hundred times too short for us to stifle ourselves? ~Friedrich Nietzsche

Does that not say it all? Would you prefer to go to the grave regretting an unfulfilled life or knowing that you did all you could, that you were true to your own nature? I know the answer for myself. What is yours?

Certainly there are risks. Some may not accept who you are. Some may criticize you for what you stand for. Do you really care that much? Do you care so much that you would rather be a slave to their wishes than be free in yourself?

Life is short. There are only so many chances to give the world the gift, that’s right, the gift of who and what you are. Why waste a single moment of that time? Why lose sight of the dreams you have, the dreams inspired by Spirit? Why not be yourself and feel free to stand out from the crowd?

Kindle Review: this thing rocks!

I got a Kindle for my birthday from my kids. I have the thing for a couple of days now I have to say that I absolutely love the thing!

I’m quite a reader as it is, but I think I will be reading much more now. Why? For one thing it is so easy to pick up and read a page or even a few lines. When you turn it back on again, it comes right back to where you left off. That’s a big plus for someone like me who is always losing my bookmarks.

Another plus is that you can add notes as you go. I read a lot of non-fiction and I like to remember passages that are important to me.

Most book are around ten dollars but so far I have not paid that much. If you figure the cost of a regular book plus shipping, that is quite a savings! You can also get magazines and newspapers delivered right to your Kindle before they ever hit the stands!

I tried the voice reader and I will admit that it is a little robot sounding, especially in the female voice, but not enough to make it irritating.

If you are a person who loves to read and you have ever lost your place in a book or been uncomfortable carrying a book or two with you on vacation or just our to coffee, I recommend you get this thing as fast as you can!
